March 1st is National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day! We’re all familiar with the sticky substance, whether we grew up on the staple PB&J sandwich or wrinkle our nose at it. But have you ever thought about giving it to your dog? Peanut butter is rich in protein and healthy fats, as well as vitamins E and H. What does that mean for your dog? A healthy and shiny coat! In honor of the day, we’re sharing a few of our favorites!

Buddy Biscuits offers peanut butter treats in both a crunchy, oven baked biscuit and a soft and chewy biscuit. Both options are grain and gluten free, making them wholesome, easily digestible treats!

Zuke’s makes several peanut butter treats we’re head over paws for. Both are corn and wheat free. Their Mini Naturals are an excellent choice for training rewards or anytime treats for smaller dogs. Each moist little morsel is only 2 calories, but packed with flavor. Or try Zuke’s Mini Bakes, which are small enough that they can be used for training or broken into several more pieces. These peanut butter and blueberry treats are the perfect combo for your pup.

Looking for something with a little more crunch? Wet Noses All Natural Big Bone Treats come in peanut butter & molasses flavor! This protein packed treat is great for the dog on the run who may need an extra boost of energy. This all natural treat also features organic sunflower seeds. Another source of protein and some healthy oils your pooch shouldn’t live without.

Putting peanut butter in a Kong toy is another great way to give your dog peanut butter. This way, your dog has to work for her treat, which will keep her busy while you’re at work or need to get things done around the house.

Regardless of how you and Fido prefer your peanut butter, Happy National Peanut Butter Lover’s Day!
